The Best Electric Toothbrush Under 50 Dollars (5 Top Ones)
Table of Contents
If you’ve followed our site in the past, you’ll know that we’re big evangelists for electric toothbrushes. Non-electric manual brushes technically get the job done, but if you want to get as deep and thorough of a clean as possible, electric really is the only way to go. It’s possible to spend hundreds of dollars on a truly high-end brush, but if you want to keep costs low, you’ll want to stick with the best electric toothbrush under 50 dollars.
There’s a lot of variance in the electric toothbrush market, but we’ve discovered that $50 and under is the sweet spot for getting a toothbrush that still works really well without breaking the bank. Better yet, the market for electric toothbrushes that are 50 bucks and under is now better than it’s ever been before.
A quick Google search will reveal a ton of best electric toothbrush reviews, but if you want to focus solely on the best electric toothbrushes for $50 or less, this is the guide for you.
1. Oral-B Black Pro 1000 Power Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush
There are a few different Oral-B toothbrushes on this list, but the first one we’d like to talk about is the Black Pro 1000 Power Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush. This creeps right up to the very top of our $50 budget, but you’re getting every penny’s worth for this product.
Oral-B’s Black Pro 1000 is insanely powerful, offering 300% more plaque removal along the gum line when compared to manual brushes. CrossAction bristles work wonderfully for getting as precise of a clean as can be, and the 3D cleaning tech oscillates and pulsates to break up tough plaque that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to get rid of.
There’s one single mode to use, and it strikes a really great balance of being tough against plaque and gentle with your gums. Although not made specifically for this, we found the Black Pro 1000 to be a strong contender for the best electric toothbrush for receding gums in this price range!
Add this together with a built-in timer that pulses every 30 seconds to keep you on track with your brushing habits, and it’s easy to see why we’re so in love with what Oral-B is offering here.
2. Philips Sonicare 2 Series Plaque Control
Moving down to something a fair bit cheaper, the Philips Sonicare 2 Series Plaque Control is another phenomenal toothbrush that manages to pack in a lot of features and goodies for not a lot of money.
According to Philips, the Sonicare 2 Series is able to remove 6 times more plaque than manual toothbrushes. We found this to be quite accurate in our testing, and the patented sonic technology allows the toothbrush to kick out 31,000 strokes per minute. Combine this with dynamic fluid action, and you end up with top-of-the-line cleaning around your teeth and gum-line.
Philips toothbrush also features a built-in timer so you know exactly how long to brush your teeth for, and the battery indicator makes it easy to see when it’s time to charge up. According to Philips, you can expect two weeks of use before needing to refuel.
3. Fairywill Electric Toothbrush
Fairywill isn’t nearly as well known as the likes of Philips or Oral-B, but if you want to get a stupid amount of value for an incredibly low price, this is one of the best products that you have available to you.
First of all, Fairywill’s toothbrush is incredibly strong. Kicking out 40,000 micro brushes per minute and removing 100% more plaque and stains than what you get with regular toothbrushes, the power here is out of this world.
Fairywill says that you can expect noticeably healthier teeth in just 7 days, and improved oral and gum health should be noticeable within 14. The Fairywill toothbrush has been design with a life of 5 years minimum, and the included 1 year warranty is a really nice touch.
A charge of 4 hours should get you a minimum of 30 days of regular use, and the smart timer built into the toothbrush keeps you on track with your brushing habits to ensure you’re getting the best clean possible.
4. Oral-B Vitality Dual Clean Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush
Our last two picks go back to Oral-B, with the next one being the Oral-V Vitality Dual Clean Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush. This is very similar in price to the Fairywill brush we just talked about, and you’ll find a lot of the same features here.
There are two distinct sections on the Vitality Dual Clean that move, and this enables it to break up as much plaque as possible for something in this price range. You get two brush heads out of the box, and the built-in 2-minute timer does a great job at keeping you on track for all of your brushing sessions.
The body is a bit chunkier compared to some of the other options here, but if you don’t care about that and just want a lot of power and function, this is a really solid choice.
5. Oral-B 3D White Action Battery-Powered Toothbrush
Lastly, the Oral-B 3D White Action is easily the cheapest toothbrush on our list. It doesn’t have the same power or features that you’ll find with other brushes we’ve already looked at, but it’s insanely low cost is truly remarkable.
The Oral-B 3D White Action is very similar in design to a manual toothbrush, and because of its battery-powered nature, it doesn’t connect to a dock to recharge. Rubberized bristles help to give a very deep and thorough clean, and the entire brush head has been designed to break up plaque and get into hard-to-reach areas that manual brushes simply can’t access.
The Oral-B 3D White Action simply works, and it works really well. There aren’t any timers or brush modes, but for this price, it’s amazing it has the feature set that it does.
All five of the brushes here can easily be considered the best electric toothbrush under 50 dollars, as they manage to strike a great balance between features, power, and – of course – price. All of the brushes have blown our expectations for what you can get for an electric toothbrush for less than 50 dollars, and we think you’ll be equally as impressed once you try them out.
