Best Protein Cookies For Bodybuilding (5 Tasty Favorites)

In the wide, wide world of bodybuilding, weight loss, muscle gain and more, protein is one of the most important components to getting the most out of your early morning run, lifting session at the gym, etc. There are a number of different ways to get protein into your body, and one such way is by eating the best protein cookies that money can buy.

The market is absolutely flooded with self-proclaimed protein cookies for bodybuilding, but they often have either one of two problems — 1. They don’t actually taste like cookies. 2. They taste good but don’t really have that much protein.

Cookies that feature either of these problems aren’t worth your time and money, and with this guide, our goal is to make it so you never have to put up with an inferior protein cookie ever again. We’ve spent some time researching and testing as many protein cookies as we could find, and as a result, we now have a list of the tastiest protein cookies to buy.

All of the cookies on this list strike the perfect balance of tasting great while also being awesome for your body, and without further ado, here’s just what we found.

1. MuscleTech Soft Bake Whey Protein Cookie

If you’ve ever spent any amount of time in the world of nutrition snacks/supplements, you’re probably familiar with the MuscleTech brand. MuscleTech is one of the most recognized companies around when it comes to these sort of products, and the company’s Soft Bake Whey Protein Cookie is a prime example of just why MuscleTech is so well regarded in this industry.

Each MuscleTech cookie comes with a generous 18-grams of protein, and the cookies manage to be absolutely delicious without having any trans fat whatsoever. Whey protein is the main ingredient for the cookies, and when compared to regular protein, whey comes out on top in nearly every single regard.

These cookies are gluten-free and offer a fantastic source of fiber, and something else we love is that the cookies are all-natural without any presence of artificial colors or flavors.

MuscleTech sells the cookies in three flavors — Triple Chocolate, Peanut Butter Chip, and Chocolate Chip. All three taste absolutely fantastic, and while we tend to prefer the Peanut Butter Chip over the other options, none of the flavors necessarily taste bad by any means.

2. Lenny & Larry’s The Complete Cookie

Lenny & Larry’s is another one of the best protein cookies brands, and The Complete Cookie from the company is regarded as one of the most delicious protein cookies to have ever hit the market. All of the cookies are individually wrapped to ensure maximum quality, and they’re made using all-natural ingredients (including a high fiber and protein count).

The Complete Cookie does include soy protein, oat fiber, and non hydrogenated margarine, so you’ll want to keep these ingredients in mind if you’re someone who has particularly harsh/specific food allergies. The peanut butter flavor is one that we cannot get enough of, and we really like that Lenny & Larry’s uses a 100% recyclable pack for every single cookie that they make.

Lastly, The Complete Cookie is vegan, non GMO, has 16-grams of total protein, and doesn’t use any eggs or dairy products.  Click here to view Lenny&Larry's The Complete Cookie

3. Quest Nutrition Protein Bar Cookies & Cream

Protein cookies are great, but what if you want to get a great cookie taste but in a slightly different form?

Enter the Quest Nutrition Protein Bar (cookies & cream flavor). Quest Nutrition makes a wide array of protein-centric snacks, and one that we’ve really come to love recently is the cookies & cream protein bar. The bar tastes just like you're eating cookies & cream ice cream, and in addition to that great flavor, you’ll be filling your body with a whopping 21-grams of protein per bar that you eat.

Along with that high protein count, Quest Nutrition’s protein bar also comes with 4-grams of net carbs, 1-gram of sugar, 15-grams of dietary fiber, 8-grams of fat, and 200 calories. The bars are sweetened uses erythritol, sucralose, and stevia, and they also contain cocoa butter, almonds, coconut oil, and other natural flavors.

Quest Nutrition’s bars are soy and gluten free, and while some people have complained about bloating and stomach cramps, we haven’t found any such issues on our end. Your results may vary, but we still feel more than confident recommending these to people looking to get a great protein boost in a small, tasty package.

4. PROBAR BASE Protein Bar Cookie Dough

Another bar that packs a great cookie taste is PROBAR BASES’s Cookie Dough Protein Bar. PROBAR opts for a cookie dough flavor as opposed to the cookies & cream option you’ll find with Quest Nutrition’s snack, and to be perfectly honest, PROBAR’s treat tastes just like biting into a fresh roll of cookie dough.

The flavor here is downright fantastic, and it’s so good that you’ll almost forget your eating something that’s healthy for you! The 20-grams of plant-based protein is a great way to get you moving and growing before any workout, and we also appreciate the added 4-grams of fiber.

Chia & flax seeds are another nice touch, and we know that many of our readers will appreciate the fact that these bars are completely gluten-free. PROBAR’s protein bars are verified from the Non-GMO Project, and if you aren’t feeling cookie dough, you can opt for Chocolate Bliss or PROBAR’s assorted collection that features a multitude of different flavors.

5. Buff Bake Protein Cookie

Going back to actual cookies, our last pick for the best protein cookies are Buff Bake’s Protein Cookies. Each cookie comes with 16-grams of protein, and while that isn’t the highest protein count we’ve ever seen in a cookie, it’s still an ample amount that should easily get you through even the most intense of workouts.

Buff Bake uses only all-natural ingredients, and this allows the cookies to have not even the slightest trace of any GMOs.

We found ourselves wrapped up with Buff Bake’s Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter flavor, but there's also a lot to like with the Chocolate Chip and Birthday Cake options as well. Click here to read more about Buff Bake Protein Cookie on Amazon.
